The graduates visited Parliament House, The Museum of Australian Democracy, the Australian War Memorial, the National Gallery of Australia, the National Electoral Education Centre, Questacon and Glassworks! Find out what they had to say about their trip below.

The Graduates' Canberra Trip 2021

In Week 7 the graduates of Barrenjoey Montessori School went to Canberra, the Australian capital. We all had a lot of fun and did many interesting things.

We went to the Museum of Democracy and learnt the importance of everyone having a say. We also went to Parliament House and even met Jason Falinski, the member for Mackellar, which is our electorate in New South Wales. We saw many great things in Parliament House and even saw it in action. We also went to the Australian War Memorial and had a feel of what it would have been like at that time.

On another day, we went to the Glassworks and got to shape and decorate our own glass tile. We also got to see professional glass blowers in action, which was very cool and interesting. On the last day it was time for Questacon, which we all loved and enjoyed. We learnt many intriguing facts and did very fun and interactive activities.

This trip was the best; Canberra is great!
